Pelatih Bali United Stefano Cugurra mengungkapkan alasannya memasang Yabes Roni sebagai bek sayap pada beberapa pertandingan terakhir di Liga 1 Indonesia 2024/25.

 

Dikutip dari laman resmi Liga Indonesia, Selasa, Stefano menjelaskan krisis pemain bek sayap pada awal musim menjadi batu loncatan untuk memilih Yabes menempati pos barunya kali ini.

 

"Ada beberapa pemain bisa beberapa posisi. Yabes sendiri adalah winger dan Liga musim ini juga sering tampil sebagai bek sayap. Tim ini juga kehilangan beberapa pemain di posisi itu karena cedera maupun pindah klub lain," ungkap Stefano.

 

Pelatih asal Brasil itu menjelaskan Yabes Roni memiliki kemampuan untuk bermain sebagai bek sayap meski posisi asli pemain tersebut merupakan sebagai penyerang sayap.

Menurut pelatih yang sudah mengamankan tiga gelar Liga 1 Indonesia bersama Persija Jakarta dan Bali United tersebut, Yabes memiliki kualitas dalam menyerang maupun bertahan yang sama baik.

 

"Yabes sendiri lebih ke pemain menyerang dan bisa bantu tim. Tapi dia juga punya kondisi fisik dan marking bertahan yang bagus. Saya pikir dia bisa membantu tim di posisi bek sayap atau winger tergantung situasi dalam pertandingan," jelas Stefano.

 

Pemain berusia 29 tahun tersebut tercatat pada Liga 1 Indonesia musim ini telah tampil sebanyak enam pertandingan dari delapan laga yang dilalui oleh Bali United dan ia selalu dimainkan sebagai bek sayap kanan atau kiri.

 

Terbaru Yabes Roni kembali dipercaya sebagai bek sayap pada pertandingan kontra Persita Tangerang, Minggu lalu dan ia berhasil memberikan kontribusi satu assist ke gol penentu kemenangan dari Privat Mbarga.
